I’m not sure how I feel about the ending, but I’m more excited to read the next book than I was. I like that the book 5? 4? plot has been building since book 1. This books plot wasn’t as fun to follow as the others, but it was still a great time. I like the character development, and I liked the pacing of the book.

It took 3 books, but this series found its driving speed. There’s a lot more character development going on now, and the story focused as much on the plot as the characters.

The plot is also much better, reminiscent of Kathy Reichs other work (can’t speak for Brendan, as I haven’t read his other books yet). The whole kidnapping thing was interesting, and the plot twist made sense.

There are still some minor problems with the way teenagers (as secondary characters) are represented, since they’re either way too smart or super dumb. There’s like no in-between. And Chance getting a R&D board job right out of high school makes ZERO sense.

If I remember correctly, Terminal was my favourite the first time around because of the new pack. We’ll see if it’s the same the second time!

I can't get enough of this series, and everytime i finish a book it's always on a huge cliffhanger, so I will now have to run out and buy the next book in the series. So many twists and turns in this book I can't wait to read the next one (which I think may be the final book of the series).

I sort of just grew out of the genre and as I read this book (as it is one of a series) it had taken me too long to get to.

There are parts of this book that I absolutely love, but overall I think the mystery itself doesn't compare to the first two (or even the third). It does set up nicely for the finale though.

I always love Reichs style of writing. Tory is so reminiscent of her aunt Temperance. Overall they are fun fluffy crime books. Easy on the blood so unlike most books in today's modern literature.

PREDICTIONS FOR BOOK FOUR

1. In relation to the title, Exposure, either...the Virals are exposed as having Viral powers or more people are exposed to the Parvovirus XB19 virus and become viral.

2. Chance finds out what Karsten did and why the Virals inherited their powers. He will most likely not share this information with the Virals.

3. You can always count on more love triangle drama.

WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED

This was the second best and most convoluted of the four books so far. It appears that at least part of both predictions 1 and 2 came true. Chance did discover the Virals secret and decided it would be good idea to inject himself with the virus and thus created more Virals.

Need book five to see how the Virals-Chance work out.
