The overwhelming emotion I get from this classic is charming.  It was just so charming.  It was a little bit Goonies, a little bit Ferris Bueller, and going on these adventures with Tom and Huck are just a riot.  It perfectly captures what it is like when you are a kid, even if it was written 150 years ago.  Tricking your friends, searching for treasure, avoiding trouble, getting into trouble, liking girls…everything is so much fun!  The way everyone always thinks the worst when these kids disappear?  It always made me chuckle.  I had Tom Sawyer in my brain my whole life, but ai never actually read through the novel.  I am so glad I did and I can’t wait to get to The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn!

I don’t remember much about this book since I read it when I was a kid, but I remember enjoying it. That’s what I can say.
