There are a few side stories woven into the fabric of the main story. There were enough baseball references last me a lifetime. I must admit that Ev was not my favorite person. I really did not find myself liking her until I was almost 90% into the book. She was a tough, take no prisoners, attorney, who could not stand up to her mother.
Cody was a really nice guy, who had the patience of a saint. Not really sure why he fought so hard for Ev, but he did. Overall, it was a decent read about a couple of people overcoming their insecurities and issues to be together.
