This book is incredible. I really was not expecting to love it so much, especially because I've been drifting more and more away from young adult books recently. However, this book shocked me with how much I loved it. The characters were amazing, and watching the growth they all underwent and coming to understand them more and more as the story goes on was such a beautiful journey. I just finished this book and I already want to reread it, it's like I'm not ready to be done with it! The main character, Ryn, is struggling with an incredibly difficult loss, and she is trapped in an airport that's been shut down due to a snowstorm. I loved watching her journey and how developed and overcame. I absolutely loved her. The boy she meets, Xander, is just as incredible. He's goofy, sweet, and so so caring, and I loved him so deeply. Each of the other characters were also perfect! I loved Siri and her chaos, and I loved Troy and his brazenness/rudeness covering for awkwardness. Everyone underwent a journey over the course of this story, and everyone learned something, and we saw just enough of each character to understand where they were coming from and their story. Ryn, though, was absolutely amazing. Her journey of development and coming to terms with her grief was heart wrenchingly beautiful. Honestly, this book might become a yearly reread. I'm not sure yet. It had such a huge impact on me, much bigger than I thought it was going to! I would highly, highly recommend!

Beautifully written and a great, unique storyline. The entire book happens over 24 hours where all flights are grounded because of a huge snowstorm at Denver Intl Airport. The characters grow so wonderfully through this very short window of time, and it’s a perfect clear-cut ending of finally getting on their respective rescheduled flights and back into the outside world.

The setting of this story is cute: a major blizzard shuts down the Denver airport on New Years Eve, trapping main character Ryn long enough to face the trauma of her best friend's death. Love interest Xander has cute ideas to push her out of her comfort zone, and I really liked him... I wish Ryn has been a bit less self-involved so we could get to know him more. I liked their romance enough that I was sad to reach the end of the book. It's completely right that the book ends when the storm does, but I wasn't quite ready to leave the two.

This book was beautifully written, although it had some dark parts and touched on grief, it was such a cute romance and I loved the progression of this story.
