Wireman is one of my favorite characters I’ve ever read. I love how supportive he is of Edgar! Some very strange things happened while I was reading this book and even after that made it much more poignant than I would have thought otherwise, so I will admit I am biased.

As an adult, the fact I had to hide my head under the blankets to sleep while reading Duma Key says a little about Stephen King’s ability to still scare the crap out of me. Compelling characters, and the epitome of a location being a main character.
