The plot of this book was interesting and sad, but I couldn’t bring myself to like Nasrin. She seemed to be really mean to Sahar, so I was sympathetic but she was one of my least favorite characters. I loved the ending though.

Not spectacularly written, but an important story not often told- a girl growing up in Iran is in love with her best friend and considers a sex change so that they can get married.
