This book consumed my afternoon before I could realize it, and it feels like I've been through therapy, girl. I absolutely loved every thing about it! I can't wait to read everything every written by Elizabeth Acevedo.

Grab some, tea, snacks and some Kleenex, then curl up somewhere cozy and get into it.

SO. GOOD.

After a flight between NYC & the Dominican Republic crashes, killing passengers, two teenaged girls are left fatherless. One girl lives in NYC and the other in DR, they have never met each other, yet they have the same father. This story in verse chronicles their individual journeys with grief and processing the discovery of a sister.
