Very good event comic and a hell of a comic in general. The art pops and the story is paced well but focused on Eddie Brock as a character with excellent theming around paternal bonding.

Excellent comic. I wish more events were as well written and consistently drawn as this one.

this sucked major ass. incredibly confusing at best, and characterization and plot inconsistencies that have you doubling back to reread at worst. please if you are considering reading venom comics do not start with this one. pick literally anything else.

An off-the-chain insane action movie that just happens to start a bunch of gooey symbiotes, this is the way I like to see events done. Still epic but not on a global scale, ridiculously dramatic with the emphasis on normal human emotions, beautifully drawn. It's still pretty silly and over-the-top but if you don't mind that kind of tone, it's a good ride. Hell, I'd even like the ending (a bone dragon!) if it wasn't pretty much a cliffhanger that goes "See you in the main ongoing!" Anti-climactic, very much so.
