My favourites:
- The Mist - Claustrophobic, cosmic horror. Loved the premise, loved the execution.
- Mrs Todd's Shortcut - I really love King's stories that feel like this: a wondrous journey to a strange land, an unreality waiting to be explored. The world reminded me of Lisey's Story in a way, and I loved the ending!
- The Jaunt - Speechless lollll I had to put my book down and stare at a wall for about 5 min afterwards. The literary equivalent of a jump scare, I guess.
- Survivor Type - DROOOOOLING
- The Ballad of the Flexible Bullet - A convincing portrait of madness, how one is tetering on the edge, almost waiting for the push.

2 out of 4 of the stories were quite good... I think King thrives on a FULL story with complete details and character building.

Технічно, це навіть перечитування. (Особливо в частині Туману.) Протееее половину я не п'ятаю, а половину точно не читала раніше, зверху до того деякі оповідання в здогадайтесь-якому-перекладі були накинуті з інших добірок. Так чи так, цього разу вийшло щось середньо-задовільне, але я поставлю чотири все одно суто за Найкоротший шлях місіс Тодд. Це вау, вся добірка існує недарма, якщо в ній є це оповідання.
I feel like reading Stephen King is like going to a small restaurant where I keep getting food poisoning over and over but I just keep going back because there's 2 of my favorite dishes of all time there and I want to see if there are more to find.
