This book is actually so funny, if you are familiar with the cult classic, The Room. The book alternates between Greg (the author of the book and co-star of the movie, The Room) and Tommy Wiseau (human gargoyle/real life vampire)’s friendship (which is strange and manipulative) and the making of The Room (which is borderline abusive) with hilarious commentary. You have to understand that The Room and Tommy Wiseau are both ridiculous and make no sense but that’s what makes it so fascinating. Overall, a really entertaining and engaging read when you know the context. And the movie does a great job in its portrayal of the book, as an added bonus.

This book taught me that there are no French words with the letter 'w' lol.

quirky, funny, and ultimately a story about making a dream come true. ohh hi mark!

Greg Stestero wanted to be an actor. Finding himself baited into modeling and struggling to land televised roles, he came across a peerless visionary. For those of us who love "The Room", this book delivers on the weird wacko and how his tyrannical direction chops delivered the greatest band movie of all time. Very funny. Very revealing, and makes the movie even funnier with its context.

I'm so exhausted.

I am shockingly late to this party, but the audiobook for this is the best thing to ever echo through my cheap earbuds. Perfect soundtrack for strenuous hot girl walks.

Edit: even though I don’t star rate non fiction, I’m making an exception. 100000/10, there will never be another book like this.
