I was introduced to Rosenblatt in college and immediately put him on my "will forever read" list. I was thrilled to come across this novel one day and didn't bother cracking the spine as I just knew it would be as amazing as his others. Sadly, I was wrong. As other readers have mentioned, it reads like the diary of a mad English professor- quirky, occasionally mind blowing but in the end simply exhausting. The flip flops in this book frustrated me to an alarming level to which I actually had to walk away from reading it two or three times.
