has it flaws but is actually so well-written in terms of romance...kind of crazy
I thought I would like this a lot more than I actually did.
It’s about a boyband called Kaleido and the relationship between its two members, Fang Juexia and Pei Tingsong.
The main characters were forced to do fanservice to promote their band and music.
I read a lot of boyband fanfics a few years ago, so maybe that’s why I’m not really getting into this one. It’s not bad, but it’s not something I enjoy reading right now. I’m dropping this 8%.

--Repetition of physical characteristics of main character and male lead.
--The above criticisms are mostly present in Chinese novels. I can usually bear it but this novel is killing me.

When I started this book, I had a hard time getting into it as I'm not very into "entertainment industry" works. I decided to press on cause i found ling yi adorable, but a couple of chapters in and Pei Tingsong stole my heart. I enjoyed reading his thought process and his manner of expressing himself. How he broke down his views and even his tiger-like outbursts were such an experience. That line about the theseus ships...just chefs kiss💋
I suck at math haha which made it harder to understand Juexia's analogies some times but they as well were really well thought out. I particularly loved seeing him come out of his shell and become himself. All the characters were so very fleshed out and truly came alive as you read. Every little interaction between their group showed so much individuality and personality, it was refreshing. I found myself laughing along with their fans during most of their live streams. The way the author wrote their shows had me searching for concerts near me, I wanted to experience it in person, it was thrilling.
The translators did a fabulous job in delivering this journey to us. It was a stellar read.
Of course, there are always a few things that I'm possibly just overly sensitive to which made me unable to give this the full 5 stars but those were only mentioned in the extras and didnt really take away from the main plot.
Long story short, give this book a try, especially if music, boybands and goofy side characters/mc's are your thing. You won't regret it

Mi sono fermata al capitolo 76, penso proprio che aspetterò che venga pubblicato legalmente in Italia 🤞🏻 Fino ad ora mi é piaciuto, molto più di Lovely Allergen, si vede tutto lo studio che l'autore ha fatto (sono fan dei BTS e degli Stray Kids quindi per me la lettura é stata molto scorrevole, piacevole e divertente). L'unica cosa è che, non so per quale motivo, i libri di Zhichu non mi appassionano talmente tanto come altri. Forse é lo stile di scrittura molto floreale. Nonostante questo quando uscirà in Italia (se uscirà) me lo comprerò.

Casi lloro. Estos personajes son bellísimos, la historia es bellísima y los mensajes que transmite son igual de bellos.
Muchas escenas casi me hicieron llorar, pero quiero destacar la propuesta del final y como salieron del closet. HER-MO-SO.

Sinceramente, necesitaba un poco de fluff y refrescarme la memoria de estos personajes tan espectaculares; creo que ya llene la cuota necesaria, así que ahora quiero continuar con mis lecturas anteriores (en especial MoDu).
Un detalle que quiero comentar es lo bien hecha que están las metáforas (en especial, toda la sesión de fotos de Spring-Winter) y cómo es todo un foreshadowing de toda la relación TingJue T_T cómo los quiero, mis niños dulces...
No puedo dejar de apreciar lo gracioso que es, la buena descripción de eventos (fansigns, performances, variety shows, etc) y lo accurate que son también jsjs. Siento que soy parte del público y grito como si de verdad estuviera viendo a mi Juexia bailando, a Tingsong haciendo freestyle o a mi Ziyan siendo cool y lanzando barras~ (Si, tengo un bias de un grupo inventado y ese es Ziyan, Er-Huo, cuál hay ¬-¬).
De verdad son idols que stanearía y me duele que no existan T-T
Ahora quiero escuchar el audio drama, en parte por eso lo dejé a medias; para terminar de escuchar la historia con las preciosas voces de los actores de voz~
