OKAY SO. This book I LOVE ITT it starts off a little bit slow (hence why i took a month and a half break from reading it) but i forced myself to pick it back up and give it a go because i have heard all the great reviews and OH MY GOSHHH?!!!? THE ENDING IS CRAZY. Pip just demonstrates her upset and rage so well at the end, it’s exactly what i would of done and said to those people. Read this book people.

The ending broke my heart 💔 I need 7 business days to recover :'( In general, I did like the plot, and the depth of the characters. I love how it began with a particular person being the important role player in the incident but it ended with it being someone completely different and unexpected!

4.5. This was another really entertaining ride but I can't help but feel that if I were listening to this as a podcast that the ending would've been wildly disappointing. In the book, it doesn't feel as much so but in the concurrently running podcast, I can't help noting that it would've been an odd and unsatisfying ending. A podcast is cultivated, y'know, and the book is just real life unfolding and it is full of disappointing (Max's trial result) and anticlimactic things but the podcast had such build-up and then it was just a dumb kid who got catfished doing remarkably dumb things. So while it feels realistic, it doesn't feel entertaining, if that makes sense. Something I really liked about this though was that Pip sees gun violence up close and it isn't shrugged off or kinda pushed aside in favor of the story, instead it lives inside her and I cannot wait to see where that goes in the last book.

this one was definitely better than the first book. still very cringy at parts but the ending was exciting and a bit more mature. hopefully the last book explores more on
pip’s dark side.

I thought the first book was okay but I loved this one and looking forward to seeing what the third one has in store.
