I wanted to LOVE this book, the first two were such adorable little cozy fantasies but this one just fell flat for me. I had to force myself to read this book and if I had a more intelligent constitution, would've DNF'd after the plot still wasn't revealed over 30% of the way through the book. Wendell's final gift to Em was the most redeeming thing and what bumped this from a 1 to a 2 star for me.

3.25 ⭐️ pacing was slower than in the previous books of the trilogy. the plot twists (which came much later) drew me in, but their endings felt a bit abrupt. still, i’d consider this a good conclusion to the series
