The beginning was just completely shattering. The way her mother and siblings reacted to their father’s death was just sad. Ember handled everything just like a first born daughter would. She took charge, made a plan, got things done with little regard to herself. I liked how she reached April finally in letting her know that no one was okay. I wasn’t a huge fan of how passive and accepting Josh was with Embers erratic behavior but he was very caring and knew she was in a delicate state so maybe he knew more than me? However three cheers for Mom for pulling it together!! That woman did an amazing job after being in a dead slump for weeks on end. But by god she laced her boot straps on and took care of her family
