Hello Declan Cross!

With so many ups and downs and how many times Braelynn has to prove herself to Declan and his brothers makes your head spin. The BDSM aspect of a Dom/Sub relationship did put me off a little since Declan was training her without her knowledge really and he was using her naivety to his advantage. He was hurting her and didn't care since all he wanted to do was keep her for himself.
Things took a turn for the better when he finally admitted that he loved her and maybe he was still not letting her in on everything that happened or that was happening at least he let her express her fears and her feelings and did his best to make it better.
I am not disappointed at all in this book and am glad that I was able to make it a part of 2024.

I liked this better than I thought I would, I was scared I wasn’t going to because I’ve read something similar and didn’t like it. I did like this though, along with the demanding and rough side of him there was a very loving and protective side which I loved. I hated how he kept testing her and wouldn’t see her side though. Also how he kept her prisoner but when she did run he comforted her instead of punishing her because he knew that’s what she needed. That I liked. But overall it was pretty good but not something I would reread.

Can I have my own Declan, please! Although I did really enjoy the story, it did take me a bit to get into it. The book was definitely steamy and each end had me begging to know what happened next. I did quite enjoy that their relationship is going slow, I find most bdsm books I read just jump straight into more heavier things, even when the girl is new to it all. Thought-out this series this couple definitely tore me apart, I don’t even know what to think or feel about it. This book definitely had me in my feels and I just wanted everything to be okay for them, especially Braelynn. She has done nothing wrong and her entire life has been turned upside down and into a mess. This series threw me for a loop, definitely a roller coaster full of every emotion you can think of. This book had me on the edge of my seat just wanting all the answers. And I will say, they were not the answers I was expecting. I really enjoyed the ending and it definitely gave me a feeling of peace, after all the chaos that this series was. Honestly, I love this couple, especially Braelynn, and hope everything is always okay for them and that everything works out. I loved the little glimpses of the wives of the cross brothers, all together and drinking wine, it was definitely what she needed. This was a good series and I definitely recommend giving it a read.
