Honestly the first half of this I was like??? really??? Because I have heard some incredibly great things about this book and it was just. Nothing.
The second half gets a lot better and I suspect it may improve further in later books as the relationship grows.
So far the dynamic was a little strange. A lot of it is communicated in their touching even when their verbal exchanges are all over the place. Once they reach a certain point of basically constant affectionate touches regardless of what they talk about I really like that. It makes for a very nice counterpoint to the darker aspects of their personal struggles.
