Really good. I was touched. Good action. Adventure. Funny. Sad. It's got it all.

Holy zombies, Batman! This was absolutely EXCELLENT ! Just a great, wonderful, spooky, energetic, & fun story about an unlikely band of heroes made up of a bunch of dogs & a ginger cat named Orphan, who are IN IT TO WIN IT! They deal with all sorts of paranormal issues, & the like. I highly recommend to comic & graphic novel lovers who ALSO LOVE animals, & witchy cats, & the horror genre.

I have to say that I was SO impressed with this; it balanced wholesome animals with horror SO. INCREDIBLY. WELL. Woo! I love a good comic win, & that, this is, my friends.

There is so damn much to appreciate here. The writing ? Top notch. The artwork? Divine! You can't go wrong with THAT! ;))

"Oh, a book about a bunch of neighborhood pets who become paranormal investigators? With art by Jill Thompson, creator of Scary Godmother, Magic Trixie, and the Little Endless? Sounds adorable!" I was NOT prepared for how dark and disturbing this book was. It's basically Supernatural with dogs. Characters can die in nasty ways; and several of the cases had sad or bittersweet endings. But the dialogue and the characters' personalities were a light touch that kept the story from getting too dark and heavy. And as always, Jill Thompson's expressive watercolors are a joy to look at. Fairly gruesome violence (against humans, animals, and monsters) and some PG-13 language would make me hesitate to recommend this for a young kid; but it would definitely appeal to someone like me, who grew up with stories about animals having adventures.

Really beautiful art. The writing is a bit slight and rushed; it may appeal to young adults.

I first came across a snippet of this comic on tumblr and was instantly captivated by the incongruously peaceful water colors and the much darker supernatural content. I hunted the whole series down from the library and spent a few hours reading through it with delight. These are some very good dogs.

The painfully punny title was also a draw. It is a very bad good title.

It's like Supernatural but with dogs!! This was fun and I really loved Jill Thompson's ability to capture motion in the dogs and their facial expressions. Orphan the cat was my favorite though - so above it all and yet doesn't want to be left out. These were fun vignettes, though I don't know how much I would stick with it as an ongoing story.

Great art, and an adorable twist on the supernatural detective genre.

Good story telling and lovely artwork. It's strong craft all around, but I didn't find anything particularly new or stimulating in the tales of noble beast fighting against sinister magical forces. It did however, make me spend a little more time with my own dog and appreciate his loyalty.
