i loved this book! i love the movie too and i think it is amazing how different the two are. there are four similarities between the book and the movie but i love them both so much! they both really tug at my heartstrings and the way Sparks wrote it is just amazing!!

I had somehow never seen the movie version before this but I definitely knew it was a tear-jerker. Not just because of the emotional storyline but the poignant way in which Nicholas Sparks writes.
His words entrance the reader and allows a very vivid look into the lives of these characters. Suspend a bit of belief and it’s a wonderful read.
My only wish is that there had been a final letter from Jamie, or anything that gave us a look into her POV after her death. I loved that it was told from Landon’s memory but to have heard from Jamie would have been nice! 5 stars regardless!
