Loved this. I've been on an English-humour kick lately and this just nails that. It makes these meta decisions that are so absurd they feel almost careless, and they're so much fun.

The concepts are AMAZING too, like the
Spoilerimaginary dragons and the wizard who can't do magic because a crazy powerful spell is lodged in his brain--and the mechanisms behind that magic for that matter,
as well as the Discworld in general. And all the characters are absolutely brilliant.

I've read other Discworld novels a million years ago and I knew I enjoyed them, and I'm really looking forward to continuing to read in order.

What have I just started? What have I just read!!! Brilliant, funny, charming and bloody weird!

The Color of Magic is the maiden voyage through the legendary land of Discworld. This is where it all begins – with the tourist Twoflower and his wizard guide, Rincewind.

So many laugh out loud moments and a few WTF’s, this book has it all and I feel a new 41 book obsession has taken hold of me!

Witches, wizards, dragons and barbarians, walking luggage and a picture box that is incredibly darling.

I’m definitely looking forward to diving into this bizarre world of fun and adventure.

Struggled with visualization in some parts but overall very entertaining and funny! Looking forward to reading more about the Discworld

Weirdly enough, this was just not my jam. Some of the humor made me laugh out loud, but other times it felt really forced and a drag. This is my second time attempting this book, just not clicking.

I have nothing to say: this is one of the best fantasy books I've ever read. I'd love to have discovered Pratchett when I was a teenager
