I loved this book so much!
I wasn’t sure of the main character, Peter, however. He was pushing away people all the time out of fear of getting hurt. However, he realized this mistake at the end. The way the author did it was just so amazing. It was perfect and tied everything together! I’d say the only thing I wish that had more attention was the weeks after Peter adopted Sliver. It feels like the author skipped out of it all to rush to an ending.
Either way, I love this book so much. It’s an amazing sequel to the first book, and I hope there’s a third. I’m glad I started the year with this book.

In my opinion this book was just as big of a masterpiece as the first book! It brought me comfort and warmth and I loved more characters being introduced. It ended up exactly how I liked it and I definitely recommend this book just as much as the first one. Character development is amazing and all of them are so love-able. Absolutely 5/5 stars!

Adorable! Minus the angsty pre-teen. But also kind of because of the angsty pre-teen? Kind of like how in Harry Potter Harry drives you crazy but you still like the book? This book was all about Pax and his daughter for me, right until the ending…then Peter redeemed himself haha. Loved it!

A fantastic follow-up to a favorite story in the Pax world. The end and evolution of the characters were very satisfying! I loved it!

Oh man was that a tearjerker, whew. It is going to take me a day or two to recover from all the feelings that I felt in the last couple of chapters of this book.
