"How do we examine the legacy of colonization when the basic facts of its construction are disputed in the minds of its beneficiaries?"

Important topics but I don’t like the writing style. This book is just not for me.

I rarely feel compelled to write reviews but this was a bad book. Very much trying to be meaningful and in trying too hard, loses its meaning. The topics touched upon are interesting and deserve due diligence - classism, racism, sexism, and achieving success in spheres where you are treated as an outsider, but this book falls short. The result is a collection of complaints about a system that the protagonist seems blithely unaware she is strengthening.
