I loved this book. What a excellent way of having a conversation about good and bad actions. And how everyone has a seed of good in them just waiting to grow!

The message in this book didn't sit well with me- a person who is mad is a sour grape? um what? Also, most people look better when they smile? *groan* I'm not big on presenting messages through shame and guilt.

Very cute and nice. Maybe a little too black and white about good vs. bad, but largely wholesome ☺️

I read this book with my nanny kid and while I really appreciated the diversity of illustrations, this book only served to make him paranoid of people. It’s definitely a good way to introduce the complexities of morals to children but be prepared for a lengthy discussion about it when you’re done reading.

Good story to tell with family.
Someone does bad things but everyone has a good seed in them. That seed just waiting for sprout.

Very much a message book aimed at helping kids deal with the news, but it does that well. There are bad things, bad people, but most people, the book says, are good people who wish the best. Most want to be happy, want to be kind, want to help. Definitely I'd say one to read amid discussion? There's some stuff around how you react to people who are mad and sad, for example, "most people want to be happy" which could turn into NO BAD EMOTIONS ALLOWED. But as an antidote to the news, this is lovely.
