I knew I needed to listen to this one after there was a short prequel at the end of the other Lauren Blakely book I listened to, Unzipped. While the prequel was from Violet's viewpoint, this full length novel was from Cooper's viewpoint. And Zachary Webber was the narrator, and I love him! This was a lot of fun, although I wonder if the prequel or this came first. As usual, Blakely writes a lot of sexy steam with a lot of humor. I loved several different things, like the "mind over erection zone". As with the other book, I loved that really the characters didn't do extremely unrealistic things. They were pretty honest when needed, and the other one believed without going nutty. And I liked how the coaches were, and how the owner's sister was as well, I mean in the end. I love how real this author is in her storytelling. And it only encourages me to read more!

Ahí me sentí morir.

[3.5 Stars] Most Valuable Playboy is my first experience reading a book by Lauren Blakely, and I was pleasantly surprised. However, I might have picked the wrong book as a jumping-off point. I enjoyed Lauren Blakely's writing style and storytelling, but I'm unsure about the characters. Because MVP is told only from Cooper's POV, the story and Violet's character fell flat. I (hopefully) would have enjoyed it more if it had been a dual POV. Overall, MVP was entertaining enough, and now I want to read more books by Lauren Blakely.

Flew through this. Was an entertaining little story about friends-to-lovers which I happen to love. Their chemistry was great and their banter was my favorite thing about it. I do really like Blakeley's writing style, always have... this should make for a fun series to read! It's a 3.5 stars for me... rounded down to solid 3 because it was pretty short and the hurdles were a little manufactured for the sake of creating some tension and light angst. But overall a fun read

Touchdown! Lauren Blakely is on top of her game with Most Valuable Playboy, which in my opinion is one of her best! This book is on an entirely different level and is now my favorite book of hers!!

Blakely can write a male POV like it’s nobody’s business and this was no exception! Cooper has that confidence, sweetness and is truly humble….yet very, very sexy! The sexy, starting quarterback is in need of some help and Violet, a salon owner and a long time friend, is just the person to save him.

Violet is the classic Blakely heroine. She is fun, sexy, smart, and knows what she wants. At the moment, Violet’s one goal is to help one of her best friends, Cooper, get out of a sticky situation. Little do Cooper and Violet know what is about to be scratching at the surface of this “fake” relationship...

I enjoyed how both Cooper and Violet interacted with each other along with the other characters we come to know if Most Valuable Playboy. The chemistry between Cooper and Violet is one of the best I’ve read. It is instantaneous as they have been friends forever. Their “fake” relationship, one to help Cooper’s career and Violet’s beauty salon, is one you would think you’ve read before. The fake relationship where Violet also happens to be Cooper’s best friends sister. But there is just something different about this story, something so sweet and endearing, I couldn’t put the book down until it was completely over.

At this point, I think everyone in the book world knows my love for Lauren Blakely. I adore her books tremendously, but Most Valuable Playboy was something different in my opinion. There is no doubt Blakely can write a romance like no-one else but this book, it tops them all!

Nothing to crazy m. Typical fake dating, best friends sister. Violet and coopers banter was entertaining though. Spice was great. Not gonna continue the series tho
