this whole series is quite fun. a very lighthearted read, and the main character reminds me a little bit of Kate Daniels (which is really the best praise i can give). a bit disappointed that book 3 ended on a cliffhanger and i'm waiting to see how the series ends.

This is a decent start to a UF series. It has a lot of the typical elements, and at times reminded me a fair bit of Kate Daniels (not in an obvious rip off way, but in terms of texture/tone). But that's cool, I liked Kate Daniels a lot.

I like the FMC, and the MMC seems promising. I can't get a good fix on the secondary characters, as the other knights had some squirrely moments. Not as in they are bad characters, but as in ... there's something clearly going on there, and I'm not sure what yet.

Reading onwards!

I enjoyed the characters, the story and the setting. Just what I was looking for.

Perfect blend of action and sarcasm

Witty and sarcastic heroines are my favorites. Probably because I can't be that lol. Trouble just keeps following London around, or she's predisposed to keep stepping into each incident. The setting of this post apocalyptic world is actually pretty fascinating - with earth darkened by cumulative eruptions of all the calderas. The ending had me worr, and I'm convinced her secret is discovered. Perhaps not her choice tho. I look forward to reading where this adventure goes next.

This was certainly entertaining, but I don't think I was really sold on the chemistry between London and Callan. That aside, London seems to just be overpowered as an MC. There's nothing she can't do.

I like a good book that is short and straight to the point. There wasn't a wasted sentence, conversation or event. You got all the information you needed plus some while still enjoying the book and loving the characters. It's authors and books like this that go to show you don't need 600 pages to write a good story
