Here is a delightful collection of stories which centre around Mugby Junction, through which many branch lines pass. We have three ghost stories a couple of romances and a few mysteries as well as much insight into railways and trains in Charles Dickens' time There are some very well-drawn characters and some fascinating dialogue. This is an easy read even though the style is from another era.
