I enjoyed the whole series, but the last book overdid the love triangle plot for me. Some young adult tropes are just not to my taste and the way this love triangle was “solved” didn’t really sit right with me. But apart from that it was a fun read.

I liked Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, not so much the one that followed it (The Gods of Olympus), and these two were better than the whole Kane series. I liked the character development and the surprises, but the plot seems to have been hurried and had quick fixes.
