I loved the characters, the setting (I mean, who in their right minds wouldn't?) and, of course, the writing, but the plot.... meh.
That's the best word I can find to describe it, honestly. It wasn't that bad, but I felt like I needed some more conflicts to keep me interested once Jase and Kazi were back in Tor's Watch and they weren't there, so that's why this has only three stars.

4.5 stars from me! I think some relationship things were smoothed over a littttle too easily at the end but I love Kazi she is the light of my life!!!! Jase is cool too but Kazi is simply better. Anyway I like this book
EDIT: AND ANOTHER THING that knocked me down to 4.5 stars. How the fuck is Kazi gonna be so good at stealing just by telling riddles??? Like be for real. Like yeah it’s cool and she’s cool and all but like what… the only one that made sense to me was the oranges when she juggled them. Other than that? Idk

I thought this one did a really good job with pacing and mixing the romance in without being too heavy. I also really liked the character development and how you really got to feel for the ballengers and started to wish the best for them. My only complaint is that the ending felt out of the blue. Her kissing him in front of the Queen and then leaving with him kind of felt like it came out of nowhere. I wanted a little more buildup
