This is the first book I’ve read from this author so maybe this is normal but why are these other characters getting POVs? They have nothing to do with Preacher’s and Paige’s story and it’s annoying when it flips to them. Personally, I found the story boring less than half way through. At around 40%-45% of the book I felt like book should have been ending but it didn’t.
Graphic: Domestic abuse
Moderate: Miscarriage
Minor: Drug use, Cursing, Infertility, Drug abuse, Blood, Emotional abuse, Medical content, Injury/Injury detail, Pregnancy, Toxic relationship, and War

Really enjoying the Virgin River series - this one is Paige and Preacher's story, and the books and show are really very different so it doesn't feel like just reading the same thing I already watched! They are a quick read, romance novels for sure but quite well written and the world of Virgin River is a wonderful place to escape too. I appreciate that each book focuses on a different couple (so far) but includes the same surrounding cast.
Moderate: Blood, Bullying, Injury/Injury detail, Misogyny, Toxic relationship, Domestic abuse, Medical content, Miscarriage, Pregnancy, Addiction, Emotional abuse, Violence, Physical abuse, Drug abuse, and Gaslighting
