I genuinely forgot how funny this manga actually is. I swear I laughed so hard reading this volume… it’s really unbelievable that JJK used to make people happy instead of depressed. This volume especially is just chef’s kiss when it comes to that.
Okay we gotta talk about Sukuna first because he’s my favorite character at this point in the manga (I know… It’s not Gojo Saturu… deal with it). Anyway, this man is such an icon. He ACCIDENTALLY fixes Yuji’s injuries and then rips his heart out because he wants to hold the kid hostage… and then he makes a deal to revive Yuji under his own terms and Yuji doesn’t even have a chance to do anything about it. And my dude is mad that Yuji didn’t thank him for fixing his arm… Iconic. But then Yuji did manage to punch him in the face so that’s something I suppose.
Not to mention Sukuna’s attitude towards that special grade curse… it’s so funny how he compares himself to him like “how can we be classified in the same grade” and honestly I agree. Sukuna deserves a special tier just for himself. But still, he goes full out with his Malevolent Kitchen (I know it’s shrine but I have to make meme references every once in a while).
We also see Geto (I hate calling him Geto), Jogo, Mahito, Hanami and Dagon for the first time in the story so that’s fun. Also Jogo is just such an arrogant character. To think that he went against Gojo Satoru thinking that he could win? Get outta here. Though my favorite thing about this fight was Yuji saying that Jogo’s head is Mt Fuji. I laughed so hard because I totally forgot that this happened in the anime.
Maki, Panda and Inumaki also show up and I like them so that was cool. But we also have to talk about Megumi here because…. well, I just want to talk about this drama queen. He literally went “With this treasure I summon” in his second interaction with Sukuna (if you know you know). Also I love how he gets suddenly annoyed when Yuji says something about him always being in a bad mood. And Todo asked him for him type…. I can’t.
Also Yuji watching movies to train is just so good and I love how Gojo is prepared to kill the higher-ups because they are trying to kill his students.
Overall, this was just really entertaining and fun… not why I decided to pick up the manga but then again, better this than eternal suffering and trauma. I’m giving this 5 stars. I know that the truly supreme volumes are still coming but I don’t care. I enjoyed this too much.

Still a good continuation, love the explanation of how cursed techniques worked. It's complicated and tbh CAN be difficult to understand but the way its laid out helps
