This book could've been better if the main character had faced more severe repercussions. Overall, however, I found it to be an interesting study on human nature and greed. The legal details were a tad bit too much for me, but never exceeded what was required. The characters were... not really intriguing.

Following Clay Carter, a young aspiring lawyer in DC, the book takes a hard left into the mysterious when a tempting deal is introduced. I really enjoyed following the rise of the King of Torts, but of course the inevitable fall was just as interesting to read. This is my first book I’ve read by John Grisham, and based on the easy read this one was, I’ll be back for more.
Minor: Biphobia
