If you love Pretty Little Liars, you will love this series. It's about five girls who have one thing in common: hating the same golden boy at their school. They all toss around ideas to kill him but they don't actually plan on doing it. They want to prank him instead. And that's exactly what they do. The girls pull together to prank him at a party but Nolan actually ends up dead... in the exact why they talked about. Now, the killer is pinning the murder on the five girls so now they must scramble to find out who the real killer is. Each girl has side plots as well. For example, one of them is developing a relationship with her best friend's boyfriend. Another is growing feelings for her boyfriend's brother. If you like mystery, romance, and drama, this is the book for you!

The Perfectionists did a great job of revealing how misogyny hurts young women and non-conforming men, but it felt a bit scattered at times, and I didn't appreciate the cliffhanger ending.

When my friend had first shown me this book and I read the blurb, I was thinking that I really wanted to read it as it sounded like something I would enjoy. As soon as I started the book, I was hooked. I absolutely loved it and the way it was set out. The story line is great as it doesn't stay on one thing for too long and when the chapters changed and focused on a different girl, I didn't feel as though I was confused about who that chapter was about as I'd heard other people had been. I will be buying this book myself as it is definitely one I would re-read and I will be buying the second book too!

I did give this book 4 stars though as it is very similar to Pretty Little Liars with the high school, girls and secrets but I put this down to the writing style of the author.

This book was so good! First book of Sara Shepard's that I've read, and I'll be getting the second book as soon as I can. The ending honestly didn't surprise me, but I thought it would happen in the second book, rather than the end of the first. I can't wait to read the second book and get more details.

At Beacon Heights High, Nolan Hotchkiss is the king, but he's also a deceptive and seductive figure who has ruined the lives and reputations of many students. However, Mackenzie, Ava, Julie, Caitlin, and Parker are not your typical students. They all share a deep hatred for Nolan and think it's time for him to pay for his actions. They come up with the perfect murder plan, but it's all just wishful thinking... until Nolan is found dead in the exact same way they planned. The only problem is, they didn't do it. So, who did?

I’m currently in my YA mystery book bag and I ain’t mad. As someone who absolutely loved PLL reading this was so fun!!!!!!!

As this is the first book in the series, I can't comment fully until I've finished the second book, which I immediately started as soon as I finished this one!

In Pretty Little Liars 2.0, Shepard proves once again that she still doesn't know how the police force works, doesn't know how seriously schools take accusations of teachers sleeping with their students and doesn't realise that you can't just write the same book with minor alterations without people noticing.

I wonder if there will be sixteen of these too.
