I need to start this review by saying that I felt like I was on a roller coaster while reading this book. I remember being so overwhelmed with the number of names throughout the entire story, but thinking about it now, I think it added more depth and realism.

The main girls were fantastic. I loved that each chapter was about a single girl and her own struggles and story. Each character felt real and not perfect, which is interesting since they all want to appear as perfect girls in their surroundings. I enjoyed the small romance and love triangles, and it honestly had a little bit of everything.

I have to say that the ending was a little bit rushed, and I think I would prefer if it were explained a bit more and sooner. I feel the same about the middle of the story. I can't say I didn't enjoy the extra story and getting to know the characters, but I would prefer if the actual mystery was explained more.

I'm really 50/50 about the ending. It does open up a really nice path into more mysteries and drama, which is definitely explained in the next book. The entire time, I was really suspicious of one particular person, but I thought it was too obvious for them to be the actual killer, and I was actually surprised by the end. I did not expect it at all so that's big plus from me.

"One wrong move and their perfect lives would be over."

This one was just...okay. I liked it but didn't love it.
I think it lacked the ability to really get to know anyone. I stuck with the other two series by this same author because their was so much to like with the characters along with the mystery. I was rooting for the other girls to win win win.

This one, I don't necessarily like anyone....I don't hate them, I just didn't find anyone to really like either. They are all kind of meh.

but I will read the next one. Since there is a promise (or so I've heard) that this one will be a very short series, I think I can read them all :)

At Beacon Heights High, Nolan Hotchkiss is the king, but he's also a deceptive and seductive figure who has ruined the lives and reputations of many students. However, Mackenzie, Ava, Julie, Caitlin, and Parker are not your typical students. They all share a deep hatred for Nolan and think it's time for him to pay for his actions. They come up with the perfect murder plan, but it's all just wishful thinking... until Nolan is found dead in the exact same way they planned. The only problem is, they didn't do it. So, who did?

I’m currently in my YA mystery book bag and I ain’t mad. As someone who absolutely loved PLL reading this was so fun!!!!!!!

As this is the first book in the series, I can't comment fully until I've finished the second book, which I immediately started as soon as I finished this one!

I was a little bored and it took me a long time to get through this book. I will still read the sequel since I am a Sara Shepard fan. From reading her other books I felt like this one was predictable in some ways. You know going in that everything will go wrong and the girls will be framed. You know that their secrets will get out.

ARRRRRRRGGGGGHHHH!?!?! Why do authors end their books in the middle of the story?!? I am NOT happy. I enjoy this book, but am pissed that you have to buy two books to read what should have been in the first book. Not cool.

This book was SO GOOD! I literally loved very second of it. It took me a long time to read because of school, but today I read a majority of it in one sitting because I couldn't put it down. It always left you wondering what would happen next and I just had to know. The twists in this book were so unexpected and there were times my jaw literally dropped. The characters were amazing. The way Sara wrote them was so good. Ava and Mackenzie were my favorites because they were these 2 perfect girls that were hurt so bad in the past, but covered it so well. Overall I loved this book and I can not wait until June to read the next one!

The book was really gripping and was definitely a page turner. It is a lot like the Pretty Little Liars books. I cannot wait for the second one to come out! This is a definite read for those who like a good mystery and enjoyed the Pretty Little Liars series.

Don’t waste your time on this shitty book I didn’t even finish it but I decided to add it to this platform cause I saw it accumulating dust at the corner of my room. I may as well add it before I give it to someone I hate to waste their time on this earth.
