This was one of very few books I rated 5 stars this year! I did not really know much about it going in which made it all the better to be honest! I was ✨️influenced✨️ on TikTok. I think it might be the best recommendation I have ever received from Booktok. If you like dark fantasy with spice and love Halloween...do NOT read anything about this book. Just start it. You will have 0 regrets. Since finishing it last night I have messaged every single book lover I know to read this book. I am already salivating for our Dragon boys book. Talk about a book hangover.

Honestly, very mediocre book, but it made me happy. It was very spooky and wattpad-esk. I also love the idea of a month long party with different magical creatures/peoplr.

The idea is great, the executive is not. The story starts out really confusing and just doesn't have a great hook. Side characters are more interesting than the main characters. I also realized about 20% in that this is a multiple book arc reverse harem for Blythe with each MMC getting their own book with her when I thought it was a standalone. But what this does is make it really confusing why we only get one guy's perspective, or maybe why we hear so much about the other guys? Honestly, so much could be edited out and it would really improve it. Also, books, please stop telling me people are psychopaths when they clearly aren't, and stop making therapists so goddamn unethical on page!
