Again, I was hoping for The Frozen River levels of amazing, but this fell just a little short. However, I was definitely captured by the story right away and the audiobook narration was amazing. I’m going to be a little heartbroken for the rest of my life (iykyk) but I’m okay with that. It was worth it to experience these beloved characters!

Nancy Grace Wake was a spy for Britain in France during WW II. True story about an amazing woman I had never heard of. Originally from Australia, she moved to London and then Paris. She married a Frenchman and fell in love with the country, too. When the war started she went to London and became involved in spying and then working for the Resistance in France. Nancy drank and swore like a sailor, she also was brilliant in strategy in fighting the Germans. She was braver and tougher than the men. she commanded thousands of French resistance fighters. Her contributions were instrumental in bringing abut the end of the war!

DID NOT FINISH: 10%

To slow and nothing happening… I couldn’t get into it and read several reviews that it was a slog so I bailed. Bummed because I was quite looking forward to it.
