Max Landis made Superman interesting. If that's not talent, I don't know what is

an absolute corner stone of superman’s character. it truly showcases how we get from little country farm boy to The Superman, all while being extremely fun to read and gloriously funny

Wow, this was such an interesting take on Superman. The different story arcs within this graphic novel offer some fascinating viewpoints on how Clark Kent became The Man of Steel. I also love how they connected the different stories to other DC characters like Batman and Green Arrow.

So one of my favorite Superman books of all time is "Superman: Secret Origin" by Geoff Johns where they take some of the myriad earlier adventures of the Man of Steel and put it into one easy-to-read package with nice artwork (especially nice that they drew him to look like Christopher Reeves).
So the fact they made ANOTHER origin story for the Kansas farmboy and made it modern, fresh, AND fun (helped by the various artists who worked on this), in addition to tying it into LOTS of the extended DC universe? It makes me rather happy and I can unabashedly give this 5 stars.

My favorite Superman story of all time. Especially the Deathstroke assassination attempt on Bruce Wayne's life.
