I didn’t mind this! There were some tropes that I love and some tropes that don’t do it for me. The very very beginning gave me a bad taste and almost put me off it but then it felt like the vibe settles in once Dain and Jess meet and then it was better. Her brother and Dain and Jess’ banter cracked me up for sure. I didn’t love
the story line with Dain’s other son and Chastity, but it was well written. I’m just meh about the concept. And Dain’s emotional struggles and mommy issues and self hatred got a little annoying after a certain point. I liked that Jess had a take no shit attitude though that was fire.
The spice was spicin’ though and I loved Jess and Genevieve’s relationship that really made me giggle.
