The finale of the BELLADONNA trilogy focuses on Blythe Hawthorne as she has to navigate an unexpected marriage to Fate himself, a man who is her opposite and still in searching for the reincarnation of his previous wife.

The relationship between Blythe and Fate is the heart of this romance novel, with their grumpy x sunshine personalities and spitfire banter making for an entertaining read. They truly do not like each other for a good portion of WISTERIA, their relationship growing as secrets of Blythe’s past are revealed and further drama ensues.

This is where the book shines, the chemistry between these two undeniable. The mystery of Blythe’s past is also intriguing, though there were a couple twists in the second half that seemed to appear out of the blue. I may need to think more on how I feel about them, but I didn’t quite expect them and though they amped up the stakes, I didn’t find them to quite fit with the story as a whole.

That said, WISTERIA pulls on the heartstrings and has an ending I deeply enjoyed. Grace’s writing is excellent and she creates a wonderful gothic romance atmosphere. I’ve really enjoyed this series and I recommend this to readers who like a complete gothic fantasy romance series!

What an end to this series (well…until the novella drops 👀)! I had the best time with Wisteria from start to finish. Being inside Blythe’s head was such a treat; she’s fierce, witty, and refuses to bend to anyone, even Fate himself. And speaking of Fate…dare I say I might love their pairing even more than Signa and Death? The chemistry, the banter, the yearning, it’s all there!

Adalyn Grace once again gives us that signature gothic darkness, but it’s balanced with humor and lightness that makes you grin even as the shadows creep in. I adored the fox motif running through this book (my favorite animal, so bonus points!).

While the ending has been a point of debate, I personally thought it fit the bittersweet, haunting tone of the series. For me, the last pages left me emotional but satisfied, even if I’m desperate to see how the upcoming novella Holly will tie everything together.

Wisteria might just be my favorite installment yet. 🖤🌙🦊

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.75
A fox, a library, and a love that defies the stars

Wisteria is by far my favorite of the series. Adalyn Grace delivers everything I wanted from this finale: gothic atmosphere, sweeping romance, and a cosmic love story that feels both magical and deeply human. And let me just say it again, I love Fate so much. I also need to pet a fox immediately.

The town of Verena (and the castle Fate created!) was pure enchantment. It felt like Christmas tied up in a bow, every detail charming and vivid, a place you want to step into and never leave. And Blythe’s library? Don’t even get me started. I need it. All of it. Stacks upon stacks of curated beauty, conjured with devotion...it was one of my favorite elements in the entire trilogy.

Chaos was…well, chaos. Awful, yes, but I can’t lie...she radiated a kind of dark allure that made me wonder about her past. Was there history between her and Fate? Grace leaves just enough unanswered to spark those questions. And while we’re on loose threads, I do wish we got more about Rima, her bond with Chaos, and why Edward only showed up in her journals on their wedding day. Maybe I missed it, but those pieces felt a bit unfinished.

Still, the emotional heart of this book hit me squarely in the chest. The ending had me crying, and I’m so glad we got a true HEA. It was cathartic, beautiful, and worth every twist and turn along the way.

Wisteria ties the trilogy together with wonder and warmth, and it’s a finale I’ll be revisiting whenever I want to sink back into this gothic, star-crossed world.

I am so glad I went against my instincts with this book series. On the surface, this series is the exact opposite of my usual preference. But I have loved every single second of it and I am in deep mourning now that I only have a novella to look forward to.

Yet again, this one is a five star for me. A bittersweet ending that suits this series so much...as much as it pains me.

I don't think Adalyn Grace will be an auto buy author for me as I am not sure her other works will fit my tastes. But I will definitely keep an eye out waiting for her to bring me to another world that I will love as much as this one. Until that day!

The first half was great, I love the world and I love Blythe as a character. The last 100 pages though were a bit all over the place and then the hurried last few chapters ruined it for me. Not the ending necessarily but the execution just wasn’t it.
