This is truly a case of consistency! If you enjoyed the first book, the remainder of the trilogy will give you exact same vibes and level of enjoyment. This third book does truly wrap up plots, but the second half is the least polished portion of the trilogy. There were portions I literally scratched my head at, like how reincarnation works in this story, or is it more of a mantle-passing situation? But the confusion would be followed by a part I thought I could guess where the story would go, but would be pleasantly surprised I was wrong, which was great! Overall I’m glad I finished the trilogy, and I did really enjoy the gothic / lite-horror vibes!

This cured my book hangover only to give me a new one.

The conceit of this series and the overblown metaphors for love and passion started to grate on me by this third installation. I still enjoyed reading it but I can't say I found Signa's mostly offscreen arc particularly satisfying and the ending felt a bit silly. Still a fun world to read but very little really happens and it left a mediocre taste in my mouth overall.

4.75⭐️ omg this book was incredible. I thought that I wasn’t going to like it as much as Belladonna or Foxglove because it wasn’t from Signa’s perspective, but I liked this even more. This book made me laugh, and cry, and scream, and kick my feet. This is one of the best enemies to lovers I’ve ever read and this literally made me believe in soulmates omg. Also the whole thing with Brude and then at the end it was Brude I was like eeeeeee. Blythe and Elijah’s relationship is also the cutest. I honestly wasn’t expecting the plot twist but I rlly enjoyed it because of how it played out. Omg this was just amazing. Also Sweetbrier AHHHHHHH. I have literally never wanted to annotate a book more because the amount of adorable amazing lines in this book that needed a highlight omg. This book was just amazing highly reccomend
