I enjoyed it overall but the pacing was very slow on this one compared to the first couple books of the series. Then the last six chapters flew by so the end felt abrupt. Aside from this I loved the characters and the world is so unlike any other fantasy book I've read. Echoing what the author said in the acknowledgements, I am going to miss Vintage, Tor and Noon a lot (also Aldasair and Bern and the war-beasts too!).
