I really enjoyed the Gilded Cage and was so excited to get an ARC of the sequel, Silver Tears. The story follows Faye as she fights her old demons and attempts to keep control of her company. The storyline is a bit over the top, but Faye is such an interesting and fun (in a wild way) main character, I can't help but love to follow along with her story. It seems like Faye's story might be complete with this story, but I'm very interested in continuing to read more from Lackberg. I highly recommend this story (and the first one, The Gilded Cage) for a fun, mysterious, dark and racy story set in Sweden.

Not a bad book, on the same line as the first one (Golden Cage). Nevertheless, I miss the mistery and the cases of Patrick and Erika, wish they come back someday.

I got this book in a random collection of books that I was gifted. I had never heard of Camilla before or read her previous books.
Even without knowing the background, I found the book easy to read and sufficiently intriguing to keep the momentum. The sex scenes were way over the top for me! Why did everyone have to be beautiful and sexy, etc, etc.
As it went on, I was drawn into the story and had to keep reading until the end. The brutality that Faye felt she had to inflict on others in order to protect either herself or those dear to her was daunting.
After coming through the hostile takeover of her company and managing to turn that around, with help from other women in her inner circle, she manages to retain control. To me the love interest she picks up and gets swept up by was pretty obviously a bad man and surprisingly that she did not pick up any vibes about that.
The actual ending is a total cliff-hanger.

Quem é que tinha tantas saudades da Faye como eu?
Depois de ‘Uma Gaiola de Ouro’ todos ficámos fãs da Faye e desejosos de perceber o quão bem sucedida foi na empresa que fundou e na sua vida, depois de deixar para trás o ex-marido Jack.
Este novo livro traz-nos a mesma Faye, traz-nos a mesma vontade de ler sem parar e traz-nos a mesma vontade de ver as mulheres triunfar.
Por vezes a história tem contornos um pouco básicos, com alguma previsibilidade e algumas situações desnecessárias.
No entanto, e apesar de não ser tão bom como o primeiro livro, lê-se de facto bastante bem, entretém e cumpre o seu objectivo. Não ia com grandes expectativas e acabei até por gostar mais do que aquilo que imaginei.
Tenho a certeza que quem leu o primeiro vai querer ler este e preparem-se porque quase de certeza haverá próximo.

4,5⭐️ Ehkä jotenkin spoileri arvostelun lopussa. Alku oli kankeeta ja kesti että alkaa mut loput 50% oli 5/5. Toivon että tulis kolmas kirja tähän sarjaan, tarina jäi vielä kesken.

Muistan tykänneeni ekasta osasta, Kultahäkistä, mutta tämä ei jaksanut kantaa. "Suloista" naisten kostoa toki, mutta vähän ärsyttävässä, chick lit -tyyppisessä paketissa. Tämän lukeminen tuntui jotenkin turhalta ja kaipasin muuta luettavaa - ja niitä parempia Läckbergin kirjoja. Onneksi nopealukuinen.

Väldigt spännande fortsättning. Nu fick man lära mer om Faye och hennes brott. Hon möter en David som hon hoppas är hennes nya kärlek men ack så är män, män... Mycket mer blod och mord. Härligt.
