5⭐️

I loved this book! the flow of the story was so smooth.
When I saw "fake dating" I was so afraid of the miscommunication or a third act breakup, when everything was going well between the characters I expected the worst but nooo it was so well written!

This book is the perfect example of a friends to lovers (friendship that didn't start very well but we have mature characters here!) and which proves that even if you are not ready to have a relationship when the right person presents itself, it happens on its own.

Hockey doesn't take up too much of a place in history and that's perfect.

This is not my first book by the author and I generally really like them. I love her characters and the development of each one.

If you are looking for a short and sweet story with fake dating, one bed, friends to lovers and more .. this book is for you!

The story in itself and the anxiety representation could have been good, but the writing felt forced and was a little cringe. And please no more „he/she cooed“💀

DID NOT FINISH: 75%

First, the fact that her business is never given a name and is instead referred to as her "dessert shop" instead of bakery is infuriating. I tried to ignore it, but it seems so juvenile. Like Paris is supposed to be super important to her why doesn't she call it a patisserie?

Everything about this book is underdeveloped, I was really trying to push through but I just CAN'T. Both of these characters are flat and uninspired and the fake dating is terribly boring.

The anxiety representation is terrible, the way she is against seeking professional help and talks about herself is damaging and promotes false narratives about mental illness. Maybe it gets better after this, but I just can't give it any more of my time.
