“I wanted to fall onto my knees and worship her for everything that she had been too afraid to show until now.”

- Enemies to lovers (kind of)
- Brothers best friend
- Secret relationship

This was a beautiful story about grief, loss and pain.
Avery was trying to figure out her life and who she wanted to be, while still dealing with the trauma of losing her dad and hiding something from everyone.
Luke was conflicted about his feelings and tried to stay away from her.
Their relationship was beautiful and he soon became her rock, helping her deal with the past and showing her she’s worthy of love.

Definitely worth the read.

It was fine. Decent story though predictable. A meh potato chip book vs a really good one. Not sure if I’ll continue in the series.

The tension between Liam and Avery at the beginning was so good. And as they started to fall for each other it was nice to see how they were both changing for the better. I kind of wanted to see more of Avery’s relationship with her brother while they were living together and mend the hurt that was there. Honestly I wanted her to tell her Dad’s secret to both her brother and mom so that they could feel bad about how they treated her but I also understand why she didn’t. Overall it was a good story.
