The Piece That Fits

N.J. Gray

3.75 AVERAGE

2 stars is generous. I do not scrutinize plot often, but this story had so many outrageous key players all through out that it made it unbearable to even keep up. It could have been a decent book if the plot wasn’t rushed— but it’s about a less than 300 page book. So when they try to throw in parent death, other crazy over bearing parent, sibling trauma, and old high school rival it’s just overkill. Not even the smut made up for it.

“I wanted to fall onto my knees and worship her for everything that she had been too afraid to show until now.”

- Enemies to lovers (kind of)
- Brothers best friend
- Secret relationship

This was a beautiful story about grief, loss and pain.
Avery was trying to figure out her life and who she wanted to be, while still dealing with the trauma of losing her dad and hiding something from everyone.
Luke was conflicted about his feelings and tried to stay away from her.
Their relationship was beautiful and he soon became her rock, helping her deal with the past and showing her she’s worthy of love.

Definitely worth the read.

This was alright. I think it was an interesting idea, it just should’ve been longer. I felt like it was missing too much to be a great book

I went into this book with hopes for an easy and quick read. I did not expect to love it so much or be so invested in the characters! I'll definitely continue on with the series.

Averys brother was pretty unfair towards her a few times and Nina was super annoying but overall I enjoyed the read, it was fast and steamy and not too much relationship angst once things worked out.

Such an emotional & captivating book, I couldn’t put it down once I started.
