The more I think about this manga the more I take off stars. I'm just disappointed it was a gory horror flick instead of something actually thoughtful. It kept (likely by accident) bringing up interesting themes and plot threads only to do nothing with them. Overall a very surface level read with unnecessary SA scenes. The artwork absolutely carried it though
definitely a haunting and bizarre experience. it's vastly different from the movie, where i am glad the movie wasn't upsetting and gory as the manga was, but the movie didn't explore the best parts of the manga - kanon and her relationship with lychee.
the art is truly superb and unique and furuya is definitely in my top 5 mangaka when it comes to art; it's not something you can see and find anywhere. i rated this pretty high mostly because of the art, vibes and kanon. it's not a read for anyone and it's pretty triggering but something pretty niche that can scratch that one specific itch.

Seems to be something of a Frankenstein retelling. Found it very interesting but overall quite strange. Art was gorgeous, especially the gore.

Something i read in the hopes of getting me out of my reading slump. And nothing pulls you out more than death and despair. A story filled with foul spiritness, viscera and gore. A manga with visuals that stick with you after reading.
