The second book in the Cheese Shop Mystery series, we find cheesemonger Willa is hosting a cookbook event at her cheese shop of an influencer Phoebe, who originated from their small town, Yarrow Glen. After conceding to Phoebe’s diva-ish demands and Phoebe’s enraptured assistant, Thomas, she starts to prepare for the book signing and cook demonstration the guest of honour is found murdered the morning of the event.

The pacing was perfect and the mystery had me guessing the entire time. There were enough red herrings thrown in the way and also, enough of the characters driving the story along to ensure the plot focus wasn’t inundated with details that I typically don’t find entertaining. I figured out who the killer was very close to the reveal in the story and the mystery overall was cleverly written. And I love the mouthwatering recipes shared at the end. Might have to try them out.

I’m looking forward to continuing reading this fun series!
