Featuring three different female protagonists, all somehow the victim in their own story, never willingly changing or growing as people despite decades passing.

Nice descriptions of the forest and trees.

Erm wow I loved this! Just so good, I loved the characters, the mystery, and they way it all came together in the end was just brilliant. It seems I just really like reading about unstable mothers and their tragic families

Not gonna lie, it started off quite slow and I was tempted to give it a miss only for it to be drawn back in when certain plot twists happened. The ending though had plenty of twists and turns, which eventually connected all the dots after going through different character's POV when moving from one chapter to the next. And that did got me hooked and wanting to know how it ended. I guess it's all about building to that point, but it made me wonder how many people gave up in the beginning.

When reading the synopsis and then finishing the book, I expected the book to be a bit more mysterious with some kind of magical twist. Nonetheless, I thought I would enjoy it more but I still enjoyed reading it.
