I'm starting to really love this series! Going into this one after reading the first, I knew better to expect a story where the romance is still mostly the focus, but the family and friendship elements take up a big portion of the book as well and I really love following this group together in this fun small town! I also loved Myer a lot more as a love interest and I really enjoyed to see how he and Dallas finally went from friends to lovers. Also Beau is just the most adorable kid! I loved all their moments together. I just think the romances themselves could be a bit more deeply developed, but because I love the characters together & the setting so much, I still have such a good time with these books!

Okay, this is my first read from Amber Kelly. She’s been on my TBR since her first book came out.
Small town romance? Sign me up!
And the covers… to die for!
Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed.
I didn’t really feel anything when reading.
I also felt like I was plopped down in the middle of the story. There wasn’t a ton of background for these two. And I think that’s why I didn’t really feel the connection.
I think it had a lot of potential but it just fell short for me. I’ll try another read from Amber in the future.

OH did I love this story. It was raw and emotional. A stunning friends to lovers tale between Myer and Dallas. Plus add the adorable son of Dallas, and you have this fun and quirky story that will keep you on your toes as it gives you a touch of suspense rolled into one.
The one thing I adored about this story is the flow. It felt like it was always on a perfect pace. The build ups added so much depth to it. Going through a traumatic past, I cannot blame Dallas any which way for her hang ups. I was there once. Granted my ex didn’t go to jail but still, I felt what Dallas did. The fear of letting someone in. The heartbreak that she endured. The way she mistook things because the anxiety is real. I loved Myer as well. He was a soft but strong alpha that knew what he wanted and who he wanted. Once those barriers were broken, everything came flooding out and omg it was stunning. I had tears in my eyes as the story finished because I was that connected to the story. I urge you to pick this one up!

Dallas may be my new favorite single mom character. She’s a feisty force of nature for sure.
Myer has been pining for Dallas for a long while but she’s only ever seen him as a friend. He’s wonderful to her six year old son, Beau, but she was married to a criminal and has shut down her heart. No more men.
But then there’s a kiss that changes everything.
This found family is a truly heart melting story. Add in Sophie and Braxton’s wedding planning plus Charlotte visiting from New York (they are all introduced in book 1) and this was a romantic, fun filled read. There’s drama toward the end and of course Myer saves the day (yea you’ll be swooning) with the HEA everything that Dallas deserves.

A great addition to the series and an amazing read. Dallas and Myer are childhood friends with different circumstances that happened in life. They reconnect and somewhere along the line things change for them. It's an interesting story but definitely a good one that I enjoyed reading.
OMG!! This made my heart SO HAPPY in the best way!!! I enjoyed the first one but this one has my HEART! Sooooo adorable!!! This one does have some TW though so make sure to look those up! But more people need to read this one! It’s very heartwarming and sweet! I can’t wait to read book 3!
