I actually thought this was a really solid thriller! Well written, interesting characters, and a twist I didn't expect. It was also pretty unsettling to read because of how real everything felt (and how shit like this happens all to often in real life.)

This was weird. Like, it’s been over a week since I finished it and I still don’t know what to say about it.
This was definitely not what I expected. Instead of your typical psychological thriller, this was more of a 'where are they now' with the victims of the house of horrors family.
I like the concept, but felt that the chapters jumped around so much it was hard to follow and get really immersed in the story. I dont know if this was done intentionally to reflect victims of abuse and how they may remember things in pieces, but it made it difficult to read at times.
Overall I am glad I pushed through the middle, and made it to the end of the book. It was good, sad, but satisfying.
