I really liked the premise of this book. Read if you’re into biochemical warfare and other interesting things. I could see this being made into a movie or show and think it might be better that way. There’s a lot of science-y stuff in here that I did not understand so that part dragged a bit. But overall I liked it.

An absolutely worthy successor to Dark Matter.
Dark Matter meets iRobot meets Jurassic Park meets Tom Cruise action movie in the absolute best ways.

Ok, this was cool!! I read very little sci-fi or action, and this was both. I was impressed with Crouch's ability to write about such complex topics (gene editing) in a way that is accessible. The way Logan's mind evolved with each upgrade was fascinating. The moral and ethical dilemmas were engrossing, and I absolutely loved the end! I hope they make this one into a movie.

I love Blake Crouch- Dark Matter is one of my favorite books- but I did not love this one. Premise was promising, but it was so slow and was bogged down by all of the technical vocabulary and descriptions that aren’t as heavy in his other books. A miss for me.
